September 29,
2009
Dear
Scarabs and Supporters:
On behalf of all The East Technical High School Alumni Association
(ETAA), we sincerely thank you for attending the All Alumni Picnic held on September 13, 2009 at the Brookside Reservation.
Over two hundred alumni, family and friends were in attendance.
We are thankful to Mr. Robert Moore 68’ as he volunteered his labor services from setting up tents to assisting
with the success of the day. We are also proud to announce that several alumni joined the Association and
paid their membership. Special acknowledgements are in order for Ms. Laquita Worely 91’ and Ms. Delois
Hood 72’ who donated tasteful desert dishes to contribute to the success of this event.
It
was a grand day where Scarabs from various classes gathered in fellowship and celebrated our alma mater. Because
of your support, The East Technical High School Alumni Association is becoming a strong organization where we as a unit assist
our East Tech students with meeting their financial need for college and training programs.
Upcoming Events:
On October 17, 2009 ALUMNI Classes from the eighties
(1980 to 1989) are uniting at the Sirrah House, 7:00 p.m. Cost: 18.89 per person (food, dancing and prizes).
On December 18, 2009 at ETAA’s Annual Holiday Party, this event is free
and is an appreciation of your support! Be sure to visit ETAA’s website to stay in the loop of all
events.
Until then, remember SCARABS ARE FOREVER.

Keeping Together Is Progress
Staying Together is Success
